Primary Elections
In September 2002, Maryland will hold its next primary election.
In Presidential Election years: held on the 1st Tuesday in March (2000, 2004).
In Gubernatorial Election years: held on the 2nd Tuesday after the 1st Monday in September (2002, 2006).
General Elections
On November 7, 2000, Maryland will hold its next general election.
Held on the 1st Tuesday after the 1st Monday in November in even-numbered years (2000, 2002).

Municipal Primary Elections
Held in the year after the Gubernatorial Election year, on the 2nd Tuesday after the 1st Monday in September (2003, 2007).
Municipal General Elections
Held in the year after the Gubernatorial Election year, on the 1st Tuesday after the 1st Monday in November (2003, 2007).
